Sig Vs Glock

My facts are not wrong

The SIG weighs 31.2 oz. thats with a metal mag
And 28.3 oz without the mag. That's still 6 oz more than the Glock.

And yes, your glock figures were clearly incorrect.

Not my figures those numbers are from the each manufacturers websites and it clearly states each gun is weighed in with a mag? If you believe the weights are incorrect contact SIG and Glock and ask them to change the specs on there sites.

Whats your point

WTH? when did it happen? I was thinking of getting one latter one... btw what is the 226 'Elite'?
Same thing but with a number of useless additions like front cocking serations and a beavertail...and probably a higher price too. If you want the original ST get one until they're all sold out.

Nothing wrong with the figures on the manufacturers' website. It's just that you don't understand the stats that you're citing. You are comparing a Glock loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition to a Sig with an empty mag. That's a rather unfair comparison if you ask me.

Apples to apples, Glock 17 is significantly lighter than Sig P26, which is contrary to what you originally claimed. That's my point.

Your making me think and thats unfair, theres only so much this brain can handle you know.

Ok, on both sites neither say the gun is loaded just with a mag there not comparing weight with ammo in the gun. If so they would specify what ammo as ammo does tend to have different specs.

Even so thats still pretty good as I citied you a glock in 9mm and SIG in 45acp.

Its not loaded with ammo just with a mag

From Glock's website:

WEIGHT
625 g / 22.04 oz.
LOADED (~)
905 g / 31.91 oz.

That's a loaded magazine, not an empty one. Or did you think that an empty plastic mag could weight 10 oz and account for 1/3 of he gun's total weight? :D

Actually no, that's not pretty good, as Sig's 9mm P226 actually weights 3 oz more than the .45ACP P220, being a double stack. So to make the comparison even more fair, we're talking about a 9 oz difference between G17 and P226 (both with an empty mag).

Well I don't know if they are useless per se...beavertails are always neat, albeit not necessary...

The Elite does have the SRT(short reset trigger)....

anyone try it out?

i own a glock 17, 22, and 26 they are the best guns around...light, cheap and with over 1000 accessories..you cant go wrong....sig has some accessories too...........an extra mag or some night sights maybe..
