God damn it!!! I just got my new (to me) Sig X5 L1 out of the box and went to work adjusting the length of the trigger for my long fingers. The cylinder screw was tight as a mother ####er, and the Allen wrench which came with the gun stripped out the bolt head. I've got a new bolt on order and I guess I'll send it off to Wolfgang and wolverine to do the work. No biggie I guess. But I am pissed! I had the ####ing thing in hand for all of ten minutes before I ####ed it up!

You think that's bad... I had a mint MR-73 revolver. A ting of beauty. I was using a screwdriver to adjust the sights and slipped....

MASSIVE gash all down the right had side of the revolver. I was so pissed I snapped the screwdriver in two.

Luckily the gash was over the side plate. I was able to send the side plate to the factory and they were able to refinish it and send it back. Just like new. It still took about 3 months to do.

Thank goodness it was on a new pistol that you can get parts for an not some rare thing of beauty that can't be repaired. A little time and patience my friend and you will have exactly what you want. Still sucks.

Saw someone blow up a brand new Taurus PT-92 once the first time they shot it, this was back when they came with cosmoline in the barrel. Which is why Taurus stopped doing that.

Also saw a Glock 24 slide crack after 200 rounds through it, cracked through the serial number under the ejection port. Which is why (eventually) Glock started laser engraving the serial numbers.
