I wasn't implying the all steel mags came with extended X-Five basepads... I was just saying that if I was going to get neutered mags with my X-Five, I would prefer it to be all steel SIG mags rather than the Mec-Gar's with the cheap brittle plastic base.

I agree with that. However, is there any way to get extended basepads to add to those cheap brittle plastic base ones so that guys with the Tactical Operation or Blackwater can add to their cheap mags? That way we wouldn't have to worry about any dealer keeping the High Cap mags for his P226 buddies or to make $$$ selling separately. I've got to admitt, I still haven't digested that treatment saying that it came from the US with one high cap and 3 10 rounders.

One high cap and three ten rounders??! That does indeed sound hard to believe. As you... I would be pissed...
Unfortunately however, I don't know where or if you could get the pieces to retrofit your mags.

Sadly, I wasn't the only one treted that way by the same dealer.
To make matters worst, the high cap mag was welded in a way that makes it almost impossible to take appart for cleaning without damaging the follower.
