I`ve been interested in these for awhile and would like to hear from somebody who owns/shoots one.
Where are they made these days?

I have a German made one that is now about 5 years, and 4000 rounds old. Purchased new from European Arms in North Vancouver, added trijicons and a Hogue grip (I have long fingers). Otherwise stock. Mags are in the stratospheric cost range (+/- $75 a piece).

Quality wise, they are outstanding. I would happily carry this pistol, if that was an option.

I grow weary of the TDA, however, and am considering a striker gun... Having now used a DAO pistol at work for over seven years, I have grown to like the consistent trigger pull, and lack of an extra control on the pistol.

YMMV.

I have one of the German made ones with the butt release, shoots like a dream and fits almost any hand. The decocking lever is also very appealing to shooters and the way they disassemble is so practical. Mine was bought used about 20 years ago and has fired many thousand rounds with never the slightest problem, Highly recomended.

I had a stainless one...decent gun I suppose. but never really cared for it that much so ended up selling it... (and kept my other .45 - PT1911) maybe because I'm into 'virgin' guns and it's the only gun I ever got used in a trade...
