Sig716 vs DPMS REPR

Sounds like your a high rolling Norinco hater too. Just because a Sig is built in the states doesnt mean its junk. Any brand of anything in the world can have QC issues or construction issues. Also your last line of the guns being restricted and those dont interest you. I don't think anyone cares. I asked for hands on experience and Epoxy has for sure been very help as others have. But your $0.02 was useless. Shouldn't you be yapping about a 450 ACR?

I have hands on experience with USA and german sig in a few different firearms, sorry if you don't like my assesment of quality differences.

At over $3500 the LMT is out. If I was spending that cash I would be buying the LWRC REPR

The LMT is an exceptionally nice rifle. I picked one up a couple years ago with the 16" CL and 20" SS barrel NIB for the price of the RePR or Armalite SASS. If even close in price then it's no contest. But that was one of those rare super deals. At today's prices I agree with you about not considering it for your purposes. It's the same reason I don't own a KAC.

One hidden gem to keep an eye out for is the Canadian AR10 DND model. They are very rare but I have managed to pick up three of them during various times and currently own two (No not for sale). They're heavy war machines with Canadian history. More importantly they have an exceptional barrel and shoot very well. They will shoot with the top brand rifles no problem. But since they aren't one of the well known rifles and use the not as popular mag system you can pick them up for an exceptional deal the rare time they come up for sale.

Here's an AR10 vs wrist watch analogy for you. Think of the KAC as the Rolex. People with lots of money buy them, they are beautiful (some models anyways), work very well but cost more mostly for the "exclusivity" of the brand. That Rolex starting at 10K isn't great value but it's very sought after for it's brand. Now the LMT would be the Tudor of watches. It's not as well known but it's still known and while offereing different features it is actually made by Rolex and many models use to even use the same parts. It's a better deal, works just as well as the Rolex although there is some brand/product differentation to avoid competing with themselves. Those who know watches know what a Tudor is. Those who don't only seem to know about Rolex. The Armalite AR10 DND is the nice vintage Omega. Again those who know watches know what you have. The rest think you should have bought a Rolex. The DPMS is your nice Seiko. You can take it anywere it looks good and works but everyone knows it's a fairly inexpensive decent utilitarian watch.

Sorry I was bored. Figured the watch analogy would be fun.
