Had you ever considered going to a higher mount or shimming the front block?

now how's this going to work?... you shim the rear block not the front one...

I've had good luck at 800m with Lapua 170 grain lock base bullet in the Lapua factory loads...I think that was the "Afficionado" line of cartridges--plenty of juice to stay supersonic and very good accuracy out of my more or less stock Rem 700 VS...plus there's a local supplier in town as wel
