SIGh p226 mags

Ya, but those are checkmate mags. You want the Mec-Gar mags.

You must really hate checkmate mags? I assume they are the ones stamped made in USA. I have put a couple hundred rounds through the ones that came with my gun (dated 11/12) and have no issues? Maybee I got lucky. Might try a Mec-gar and see what all the hype is about.

Not hate.....more like distrust. IMHO mec-gar mags are far superior.

Maybee I'll be adding some items on EE, Marstar has some coming I'll give a try. I guess it's a cost saving thing for Sig if the mec-gar are that much better you would think they would have stuck with them.

Try Northern Republic Mag.........great service.

What's the downside with the checkmate manufactured mags?

I found them hard to load... crazy strong springs. Otherwise after my thumbs stopped bleeding they cycled perfectly. I like MecGar mags as well. Ditched my Checkmate's and bought MecGar's. If you go to the Sig forums there is a lot of hate on Checkmate. Clearly the quality isn't as good. Was definitely a way to save money by Sig. MecGar used to manufacture mags for Sig, by the way. MecGar's are better and cheaper (at least in the US, probably here too).

Confirmed, they are in fact Mecgar, just got them today

I hope you do okay with those. I have never ever ever had good luck with any pinned/rivited/welded pistol magazines especially SIG Always always issues... 10 round SIG mags, that's the way to go. (65 bucks?!) OUCH!

I bought 4 10rd MecGar's for $26/each from the states (Numrich) a couple years ago. Good mags, just don't drop them with the plastic baseplate. The pinned or welded Checkmate 40cal mags are the ones that will work in a 9mm 226 by the way ;)

Well, Ive Never ever had a checkmate P226 9mm 10 round mag fail on me, fail to feed, fail to eject. Never... Owned and still own many checkmates and all work flawlessly great.

I have been looking for some Mecgars. Found five, They still available from over the border? I didn't think you could do that?! Does Numrich ship to us, bro?
