Expecting a Thureon in the mail in the near future and am confused about what type of sights are available. I'm guessing AR 15 type sights but in reality I know very little about AR's or sighting systems for the TD. I've done searches on this but keep coming up with term like BUIS, gas block sights and such which does not compute. Anyone want to help out a fledgling in understanding this stuff and what might be suitable for the TD?

I have these on mine, ht tp://www.wolverinesupplies.com/details/16380/Fab-Defense-Folding-Front-Back-Up-Sight-Tan.aspx plus a red dot.

Not a TD, but my JR has a carry handle rear sight + a troy H&K style front sight. All on the same plane, seems to work fine.

I put Magpul MBus backup sites and a Vortex Sparc 2 red dot on mine. The MBus fold flat along the rail and the Sparc is the perfect size for the svelt TD GA carbine. When the MBus sites are deployed, you can see still directly through the Sparc

For my TD, I have the Magpul MBUS Pro for front and rear.

They are well made, metal , and very low profile in the down position.

The Magpul MBUS Gen 2 are lower cost because they are polymer but have been very proven in the field.

If you plan on adding a red dot as well, I recommend the bushnell TRS25 with a UTG 1" riser for lower 1/3 cowittness.
