Are Garand sights graduated in meteres or yards?

how about P-14 sights
Or P-17 sights?

Im sure most Mauser sights are in meters

What about No1MK3 sights...?
Or No4Mk1 sights...?

Yards or meters?
 
Garand sights are in Yards. M-14 sights are in Meters. Heres the catch, If you rebarrel your Garand for 7.62mm NATO then you can read them as if they are in Meters. Clear as mud?

I dont get it...I thought 7.62 NATO and 30-06 had nearly identical trajectories
 
I once asked my old man why the Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk1 sights were graduated up to 1300 yards. He, having carried one in the war responded "That's so you can shoot things from a safe distance".
