Sight/Stock for this Gew98

Hi,

I just bought this Gew98 and tested it today.
Really nice weapon but since the sight are fixed, I would like to
buy something so I can scope it etc..

I've seen the ATI MAUSER STOCK, but i'm not sure if it would fit
so this is my rifle ...

if the ati stock dont fit, what are my option to change the sight since it shoots really low.

I'm not totally sure, but I think you might be able to restore that... I could be wrong though. Looks like a G98 that was converted to K98 to me. Anyone who actually knows what they're talking about care to comment?

I remember seeing that one and I didn't know what to make of it. It looks like it has Kar98k style barrel with front sight hood. The receiver was Imperial marked though. Can you post pictures of other markings found ? How long is the barrel ? Gewehr 98 barrels should be ~ 29 inches. If you choose to go the restoration route, it might a long road (I am going down the really long road with a bubba'd Gewehr 98 right now and it is an uphill battle all the way).

If not, I would try swapping the front sight blade until you find one that helps with the point of impact. Are you shooting commercial ammo or hand loads ? If you can nail down some consistency with the loads, you can rule that out as a possibility. Stock bedding can be a pain as I have read on the forums so watch out when getting a new stock.

Look like its ~ 24inches,

I dont want it to be like an original, just to be able to shoot at 100yrds and really know where its going, thats why I had the idea of the Ati stock..
