Sighting in a 9mm PCC

Well unfortunately for me it doesn't seem to work out the same with my other PCCs. Hornady has an interactive ballistic calculator on their website, plenty of apps available these days as well. Thanks for the the lesson though...

Maybe the "others" are really others. Lots of variables. I have two carbines that pretty much mimic your results albeit at a bit shorter ranges.

One thing is for certain there likely are not going to be a massive movement to 9MM carbines in the bench rest community anytime soon. Fun guns but they do have their limits and the 9MM bullet is one of them.

Actually not really. I have Hornady's "Handbook of Cartridge Reloading Vol. 2. At 1,100 fps with a 100 yard zero using a 125 gr FP bullet the POI at the muzzle is -.8" + the height of your sight over the bore. At 10 yards the POI bullet will be virtually the same as it would be at 100 yards. A good understanding of ballistics can aid you in determining the best combination of sighting in for the application you are using the gun for.

Even in IPSC/IDPA PCC Divisions the knowledge can be useful and can result in quick automatic responses to target distances, albeit we do have the benefit of generous ideal target impact zones.

Once the whole PCC OIC situation returns to normal (Conservative win) I would like to take on Mr. Gopher with one of my 9MM Carbines.

I might be missing something here, but wasn't there only 1-2 models of PCC hit by the OIC?...

All the AR 15's and variantsinc, 9MM
All versions of the CZ Skorpian (3)
All versions of the CX4 Storm (2)
The SIG MPX ? I may have the letter coding wrong..

FYI all 4 of the 9MM PCC's listed above are the big 4 in IDPA in the US, They are easily the most popular. All use a simple blowback action or in the case of the SIG a piston system. I run with guys who shoot IPSCm IDPA or 3 gun. The only reason why they buy their PCC's is to compete with. None of the carbines can be described as "Assault Rifles",

If you think the rest of the PCCC's won't be drawn into the ban in the next phase ......

The Conservative Party have made it clear they are going to reverse the OIC and re-write C71,

I forgot about the AR-15 variants; plus watch that story on the Canadian Tire Aero-Rifle sale to see just how much PCC's are indeed in the cross-hairs... :(

The answer is to do what you can to get the Conservatives elected. That will solve this round of Liberal nonsense,

I just ran my Kriss 9mm through the gambit of various ammo at 100m and 50. Overall the winner hands down was PMC 124 gr. Which is great because it had a good bulk price.

Tried 147, 130 (PCC), 115, AE/ Winchester, blaser etc etc.

Overall the tightest group at 50 and 100m was the PMC.

Did you happen to try Sellier & Bellot 124gr? Seems to work well in Ruger pcc.

Not overkill at all. I have a 1-4x24 on mine. Love it.
50m is a great distance but i can stretch my ruger to 200m, with strong confidence off the bench.
Have a great shoot!

This exactly ^

My JRC sports a 1-6 strike eagle. Zeroed at 50m. The 6 powers handy for spotting game and shooting gophers at 100m.

i will confirm

but it was between 1325-1350 fps with a 18.5 inch FX-9.
elevation is 1500ft
humidity is 40%
2.5 inch sight over bore
25 yard zero
B.C .129

ammo was very consistent in 5 shot average in velocity.
