sighting in at 25 yards, point of impact when at 100 yards for Ruger 10/22

The CCI MiniMags come in RN and HP and were/are copper plated.
The newest version which they call "Target" come in various colors and while I have tried some "Target" might be a misnomer.
While my 10/22's are scoped, it is still important to find which offering is preferred.
The RN was grouping about 2" at 100 yards.
Switched to the HP and the POI moved 6" to the left and the groups opened to over 6".
Even at 25 to 50 yards, that type of shift in accuracy would be very discouraging and the learning curve would be disproportional to fun.
With the MiniMags the lot numbers mean nothing. If you find something that works buy a brick. If your rifle will function with CCI Standard Velocity that is another option.

IMHO, if you got some tech sight peep sights on that 10/22 you'll be alot more accurate with it compared to the stock irons.

Also, sighting it 1/2" high at twenty five yards will reduce the holdover needed _nicely. Well, that's what I do.

A bump for the aperture sight comment!! I got around to installing the Fire Sight set on my 10/22 - by Williams, I think - aperture on rear, a fibre optic on front. Read of a "cheap, cheap" up grade - since 10/22 only has one action screw in standard stock - the rear end of action is able to wiggle left and right, even if action screw towards front of action is tight. So, several wraps of electricians black vinyl tape around the barrel near the forearm tip- enough layers to be snug when pressed into barrel channel - stays centered, there - also clearance that front band so it's inside top face does not touch the barrel, when it is installed. Then multiple layers of that aluminum foil tape (used to seal heating ducts - very thin) on each side of the rear of receiver, below the stock line. I think mine took six layers on one side and seven layers on other side - a nice "press fit" into the wooden stock. The mods and the aperture sight take the little thing to a "next level" - turned out very nicely on mine.

In fact at my grandson's school, teachers are constantly asking the kids are there guns at their homes? Or do they know of anyone who have guns? If yes please report it to the principle ASAP!

My wife and I think it's child abuse to send your children to public schools like that for indoctrination and a very poor, sub-standard education by unionized liberals.
Home school them. It is well worth having mom at home to train and educate them without government interference. We did.

Back to thread. As another said, simply sight your gun at 50 yards, then see how it does at 25 and 100.
Hold over or under the correct amount for your desired shot thereafter.

I remember in junior high leaving my shotgun in the principals office on a Friday afternoon to go hunting with a friend for the weekend, and packing it on the bus to go to his house . Those days are for sure gone .

I remember as well, shotgun on the school bus to shoot clays on the ball field. When I turned 16 shotgun was always in the car during duck/goose season, in the school parking lot.

It is wonderful to wake up on a Sunday morning, to discover that there are like minded individuals still exist within our country! I am sure that people like us have NO issues wearing poppies!!!

When I was in high school in a rural community a lot of the farm kids (both boys & girls) would come to school in an old 1/2 ton with a gun rack in the rear window. You guessed it, guns in the racks, trucks all lined up in the parking lot, no one ever gave it a second look. Can you even imagine if someone did that today? Thing is there was no terrorism, mass shootings, etc. back then either, makes one wonder if we were not better off then than now?
