I'm shooting a traditions pursuit pro using tiple 7 magnum and a hornady sst 250grn bullet. my first 5 shots are all over the board and as gun gets dirtier and harder to load it groups awesome.
was shooting with 2 other guys last week and by my 10th shot with a couple swaps inbetween each shot i was grouping excellent at 100 yards, as were the others.
Today we are out again to check 200 yards all 3 of us blow off a cap and foul our barrels hoping to re-create a bit of a dirty barrel again and of course all 3 of us were again way off the mark until some shots and swabs again.
This is no good when hunting and only that first out of the case shot counts. Anyone else have issues like this?
the other guns are another traditions inline with trip 7 but not magnum, he uses same bullet but also uses bore butter. The 3rd gun is a tc pro hunter, he uses buck horn loose powder , not a magnum load and also hornady sst's.
Are you guys cleaning the heck out of your guns after each shot until dialed in so you know it will be on out of the case? If thats so, what a pain, not alot of fun to shoot and man is this getting expensive trying to get it on.
My old cva with powerbelts and pyrodex pellets was no issue, as soon as i uped the quality of my gear, issues!
Any help would be appreciated.
