Yes, we sell Sightron and do so mainly due to Sightron scope positive reviews and feedback from people that use them. However, there are not many reviews on binoculars and we just went through pages of birding forums and have also done this previously. A poster "laughed" when I compared Sightron to Leica. The comparison refered to was done by a respected defence expert who spent years looking through binoculars on the bridges of ships. He prefered the Sightrons LR and although not a "test", it is an impression from an intelligent individual. A German customer has sold his nice Zeiss units and has a pair of Sightron SIII 8X32 magnesium body.

It would be informative if someone has done proper evaluation of this product. Any reviewers out there?

Peter

I actually wn a pair of Sightron Binos at the WCFCC in Winnipeg this year.

I have to say, I am very impressed. they are sharp edge-to-edge, almost distortion free, free of chromatic aberration, exceptional contrast, and ergonomically comfortable.

I would not say they are quite as "good" as a German-made Leica, however they are as good or better than an equivalent Minolta, Nikon or Pentax pair, and those binos are excellent. The sightrons blow them out of the water for cost.

I definitely recommend them

Thanks Ian, you have a $119 SII WP(water proof) model. We took these to range and sold a pair on the spot SIII LR are the top models, SI the bottom.

Peter
