Sightron exposed turrets question

Hey, just curious if anyone has take the exposed turrets off of their scope before. I'm curious to know how they are secured. Obviously there's a bolt down through the center, but do the caps fit over a splines or anything like that? I picture would be great if anyone has one.

there is no spline between the shaft and the knob
the friction from the screw holds the knob in place and mine have never moved and I have never heard of it getting slack
just make sure you read the instructions and set at the proper torque

Oh ok, I had one of those scopes and thought it was great but I never had it apart so I wasn't sure. Do the models with the covered turrets use set screws or something since they don't have a bolt down through the top?
