Hey all...just bought a Sightron scope from another CGN member here on the EE..was just thinking to myself that he has it mounted on a Savage rifle and Im installing on my RPR..Im guessing his medium height rings are not going to work on my flat top setup...anyone running this combo that can tell me what they're running for ring height..

Thanks in advance for your time

OJ

I have a Savage model 12 (the 308 drop box magazine with a heavy stainless barrell, I think it's called the DBSV) I have that exact scope. I use the low (I'm pretty sure it's low, if you need me to check I could check a bit more) EGW rings that I got from Hirsh Precision. There is very little room, but it gives me a nice low profile.

Rpr's have a flat top rail not like you savage low rings will not be close to working

I know this was a old thread and the OP likely has it figured, but a 56mm on a RPR with 1.5" height rings will give you 0.22" clearance, so with that you can still run caps, it's what I use for my 56mm NF on mine, also are a nice height for cheek position.
