After much work we have been officially appointed as the exclusive Sightron dealer for Canada. We held off on announcement until export paperwork was received by Sightron USA and they had product ready to ship.

We will have almost all Precison rifle scopes next week and can now complete retail and dealer price lists.

There is difference between being an authorized dealer, and a re-seller. Authorized dealers, are well, authorized to sell/and or distribute the product and brand WITH THE MANUFACTURERS CONSENT. A Re-Seller has no such agreement. The difference most often shows in pricing and service.

Rman, thanks and you are 100 % correct. To restate: We are the exclusive Sightron distributor for Canada. Sightron USA does nor authorize any other business to sell to Canada and we are presently establishing a reliable dealer network.

Regards,

Peter

Now we need Sightron to build a MOA/MOA scope and we might have something.. Until then I will keep getting Peter to ship me Nightforce..

I never understood the reasoning behind MOA turrets with a Mil reticle besides the Tacti-cool factor...

Blgy, are you realted to Alberta Tactical Rick? Seriously, good comment and hopefully they will continue to heed goo feedback.

Peter

Exclusivity...what does it really mean?

In this particular case, it means that Hirsch Precision has the exclusive rights to bring Sightron Scopes to the market in Canada, either as a distributor, as a dealer, or both. This is an agreement between Hirsch, and the manufacturer, Sightron. This means that anyone else bringing these scopes to market, either as a ditributor, or dealer, is doing so without permission from Sightron, or subsequently, Hirsch Precision. There are no specific laws against anyone else selling, in this case, Sightron scopes, to the market, but a manufacturer may refuse warranty and repair issues if the scope was not purchased from an authorized dealer. A manufacturer may also pull a dealers, or distributors, agreement if a dealer, or distributor, is caught re-selling into another exclusive territory. It depends on how the agreement is worded, and what areas the manufacturer wants to address. Welcome to the world of retail sales and marketing.

What is all the interest about?

R.
