Sightron

First focal plane is really nice for ranging, but I am always worried about my reticule covering the target at high zoom.

Nice scopes have fine reticules for a reason.

There, my .02

For now, the audience are target shooters and varminters. We don't want the reticle to get bigger at high mag.

I know that Sightron is thinking about tactical style products. As to what and when, likely next SHOT show to find out.

They have some fixed mag SIII scopes that might be of interest. Kind of like a Super Sniper but with better glass and different reticle.

I doubt Sightron will allow those existing dealers to be dropped off. Likely the individual dealers will decide whether they want to continue business on the new program....

I think you will find some already gone. I phoned some of the listed dealers looking for an in stock scope. A few told me they had dropped the line due to poor support/supply. Hopefully this will now be rectified with Hirsch Precision stepping up to the plate.

Sounds like this is a win/ win for all involved. Looking forward to having access to even more good options.

Peter- where is J.C. Gautreau located?

good luck in the new venture.

Now to rebuild your power inventory, and start stocking primers!

After much work we have been officially appointed as the exclusive Sightron dealer for Canada. We held off on announcement until export paperwork was received by Sightron USA and they had product ready to ship.

We will have almost all Precison rifle scopes next week and can now complete retail and dealer price lists.

Hi Peter,

Any news...Price list and scopes in stock?

Thanks for updating...Cheers

Regardless of Hirsch Precision's status as a dealer/distributor. The Sightron SS10x50 showed up in todays mail. Along with a couple of sets of Nightforce rings to ensure the correct mounting height. The 1.00 rings gave adequate clearance as long as I don't use Sightrons supplied flip up lense covers.
First impressions are Holy #### its a big scope with 60mm objective!
Optics are very clean and clear at all settings including 50x, nice fine crosshairs. Positive clicks {1/8"], easy to feel and hear without muffs.
No problem seeing a 1 1/4 orange target dot on the 600 yard backstop didn't see it with the 6.5x20 Leupold yesterday. Sight in was easy and the adjustments are close to perfect. I might add there is more than enough eye relief for the 338 Lapua chambered Rem all the way up to 50x.
Thanks Peter for the speedy delivery and excellent service.
