I have an Winchester Defender 12 ga. I would like to put on some type of fiber sight front and rear (for slug shooting). It is not drilled or tapped and the receiver has a round top that is not grooved. Is there a "glue-on" type that exists out there? Other options? I do not want to replace the origional barrel.

I put a Millet saddle style scope mount on mine with a red dot. Surprisingly, it locks on there rock solid with no permanent mods to the gun, is low profile, and works great. Here's a pic of the mount itself. I picked it up off E-Bay for around $30.00 new.

The short barrel is in the mail back to me after being re-finished, mind the 28" vent rib. I love the Hogue overmold stocks. She comes to eye nice and fast with the red dot on it. Was thinking about putting my Doc Optic on it, but that's on my 14" 870 w/ S&J Hardware rail, 6 position collapsible stock, etc....

Thanks for taking the time to get pics to me. This is the route I will take if front and rear fiber sights become a no-go.

No prob. Another couple of options you have are:
1) have a set of front and rear sights soldered onto the barrel by a competant gunsmith, similar to what you see on a Rem 870 slug barrel;
2) buy a vent rib barrel, then buy a set of sights that attach directly to the rib; and
3) buy a set of ghost rings and have a gunsmith install the rear one on your receiver, and the front on your barrel.
Good luck, whichever you decide to go with.
