Clobb,
I've got some revised info for you. The data below is using your 5 inch sightline.
With a 50 yard IBSZ your new numbers look like this:
3.7 inches high at 100
5.8 inches high at 150
6.2 inches high at 200
4.8 inches high at 250
0.9 inches high at 300
Your crossover will be 50/300 with a max ordinate of 6.3 between 175 and 200 yards distant.
with the 40 yard zero your numbers are:
5.9 inches high at 100
8.3 inches high at 150
9.5 inches high at 200
8.9 inches high at 250
5.9 inches high at 300
Your crossover is 40/360 with a max ordinate of 9.5 inches between 200 and 225 yards distant.
With the 30 yard zero:
9.6 inches high at 100
14.8 inches high at 150
18.1 inches high at 200
19.6 inches high at 250
18.6 inches high at 300
Your crossover is 30/460 with a max ordinate of 19.6 between 250 and 275 yards distant.
Your best zero range for a sightline that high is around 75 yards. Here's the numbers I came up with.
1.3 inches low at 50
zero at 75 yards
1.0 inches high at 100
1.8 inches high at 150
0.9 inches high at 200
2.0 inches low at 250
7.1 inches low at 300
Your crossover is 75/225
Hope this helps.
