hi

i was wondering if anybody was using the sightrone 8x32x56,i was thinking of buying one would like to here from other guys experiences first pros and cons.just cant quit afford a leupold or nightforce.

thanks Darin

My wife has a sightron 8-32x56 FCH on her rifle. we do a lot of shooting out to and past 1000 yards and it tracks perfectly. Optically is on par with my nightforce. The turret clicks are precise with only being a bit softer than my NF. I found that innitial setup of the focus was much much easier with the Sightron than my NF. I love both scopes but would definately go sightron again especially with a budget constraint. I am hoping Sightron will offer a few more reticle selections in the near future as I do like my NPR-2 reticle in the NF. I use it for judging size when I know the distance and I often practice rangefinding with it and confirm with my Swaro rangefinder.

I've got the 8-23x56 FCH its mt 3rd Sightron, first SIII.

I have not mounted it yet but I have no regrets spending the cash for a nice scope. When I decided to follow the advice of a friend and go big, the only scopes I looked at were Sightrons given thier reviews and prices.

The 8-32x56 is a perfect match between price and performance as far as Im concerned.

thanks for your input,i think i have made my decision sightron it will be just not sure if i should go with fine cross hair or target dot it will be for fclass. Darin

Had a chance to look at the 8-32-56, and the 10-50-60 S111 scopes.
Tried the 10-50-60 at the range on a .308 precision rig.
For the extra $200-$210. I think I will go with the 10-50-60.
Things to consider?
8-32 has 1/4 moa clicks, and 70 moa total adjustment.
10-50 has 1/8 moa clicks, and 50 moa total adjustment.
They seem to me, to be the best value out there. Not as tough as a Nightforce, about as clear optically, and nearly half the price. Having a local dealer with a lifetime warrenty sure is nice too.
Ron.

That about sums it up! I did not know the 8-32 had more adjustment though, cool!

Usually boils down to whether you prefer to hold off target or dial the knobs for windage adjustments.

I shoot a FCH 10-50. I hold off on the target for minor windage/elevation changes. I will dial to get me on target then Kentucky windage for the ebb and flow.

Those that have the dot, tend to keep aiming dead center and using the knobs for the adjustments. Of course, you can move the dot around as it is really small but it will obscure more then the FCH.

Both work, just depends on what style you prefer.

1/8 minute clicks matter the further you intend to compete.
