Saw these signs posted at the Cabela's in Dundee, Michigan last week. What was even more surprising was the actual "shelf" of powders and primers they had out on the floor. It consisted of a five foot high, four sided rotating display of average size. Aside from that I saw no other primers or powders available; yes, they may have had more in the back, but that's not the point. My local pusher has more powder and primers available than did Cabela's. On a positive note, taxes aside, we don't seem to be paying much more than our southern brethren for most firearms: the prices I saw were comparable, and in some cases were selling for less up here. But, at the same time, there are lots of sweet guns we can't get, and, some prices on high end/high tech guns here are markedly higher.

All the U.S. Cabelas have that sign (since the shortage began). And they don't keep anything in the back. What you see is what they have.

I wonder who printed the little sign? (2 bricks) totall

A few weeks back, someone was busily telling my gun buddy that WSS in Regina was right out of .22 shells. I was in there shortly after and saw lots of .22 ammo. I asked the young fellow behind the gun counter if they had been out. He looked at me kind of funny, and assured me that they hadn't. I guess we have it better in some ways than our American friends.

Sounds like a sane policy; supplies are short, so everyone has to share. Better than places like Wal-Mart selling whole skids to the first well-heeled paranoid-survivalist nutter to turn up waving a credit card, convinced he needs a minmum 5,000 rounds of ammo for each of his guns in case of a zombie apocalypse.:p
