Significant updates. WWW.ARMSEAST.COM

Quick note. The 500 dollar #### doesn't apply to anything related to ar15s. Orded some carry handles and they got stopped after waiting a month, just because it says ar15 carry handle. Have to go thru cbsa to return it back to brownells for refund.
It does apply to anything that's legal to import, unless CBSA is on a power trip and they feel like giving you a hard time due to their personal political or emotional beliefs. They've known to stop things even when they had no right to do so, because they know the common consumer does not have the legal backing or the financials to bother challenging it.
Had a Pelican case getting warrantied, old case was sent to USA, new replacement was sent to me with 0$ invoice clearly stating it was a replacement, and an exchange for goods that had duties paid on them in the past. They tried to claim 1800$ in fees as duties as they "couldn't find a market price". If I didn't pay they would have destroyed the item instead (read as stolen by the CBSA officer doing the claim) Pelicans service threatened to take legal action after finding out they wanted to charge 1800$ duties on a 200$ case that should not have had any duties on it in the first place (exempt under warranty as long as the damaged item has left Canada)

Dealing with entities like ArmsEast or Irunguns is easier because CBSA doesn't mess with them, knowing they're bigger fish, have some legal backing and knowledge and a full scale business and not just a helpless John Doe.

Might be a BC border checkpoint thing but I know people that have had items outright stolen from the package during a CBSA inspection. Tool kits missing certain items. Shipment of Leatherman's that had two waves pulled out of the boxes etc.
I have everything that's ITAR exempt shipped to a PO Box and declared at the border crossing, no chance of theft if *its not unattended. Of course some don't have that luxury
