Hi everyone, I just bought a Sigtron S111 8-32x56 for my Savage 12 VLP. Can anyone tell me what height of rings i will need to mount this scope and give adequate clearance? I have leupold standard bases on right now. Thanks in advance,

I used EGW Tactical mediums on the same scope, worked fine. I was using a 1-piece base though, the two piece bases might sit a little lower.
 
Right on guys, thanks for the input! I have a set of 30mm mediums kicking around that I'll try before I think about buying some high rings.

I mounted the same scope on a Savage model 12 FLV using Warne Steel bases and Burris Signature Zee rings, high. Just clears the barrel. Cannot use the Sightron scope covers but I use a full length neoprene cover anyways. A little more clearance can be had by using the +10 inserts in both the front and rear lower rings.

I have a savage 111 long range hunter in 6.5-284 with a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 with a weaver tactical 20moa rail (99494) and Burris XTR low rings (420160) and it just fits so depending on the base you use I would go medium height rings to clear the larger objective lens.
