Silence ???

I was just wondering about all the silence from the trap a skeet shooters on this forum regarding the shotgun ban? I've yet to hear anyone call the government out on it. Do you not think it applies to you? If so then you are dead wrong.

Maybe because there is a political firearms sub-forum on here where they can post their thoughts and don't feel the need to have 10 threads on the same topic in each forum? It's pretty clear what your intention is posting in here....:stirthepot2:

Far from it bud. Just wondering why all we are hearing is crickets from the clay shooter? Not staring the pot, just trying to wake up some people.

Trust me we are awake. Just because we shoot nicely finished and embellished shotguns doesn't mean we aren't in the fight. This sub-forum gets little attention from us as we go online to our respective associations to chat with other members of our associations.

Both Mr. Berlew's interpretation( CSSA Lawyer ), S.O.R. 2020-296 and Mr. Blair's "tweet" all need clarification. I can furnish a definition of "bore' as being the nominal diameter of the bore, as measured with an internal bore gauge, 4 inches in from both the breech and the muzzle. ( i.e., the chamber, forcing cone ( or at least the majority thereof { as in the Beretta Optima Bore } and that part of the muzzle as may be threaded for an interchangeable choke are excluded from the measurement of the bore diameter )

I'll be speaking with my MP directly on Monday.

you would of thought ducks unlimited would of came out of their liberal closet to make a statement
sic

I wouldn't ... their mandate is the preservation of wetlands, not "gun control".
No doubt their many members will have an "oar in the water" through many of their other interest organizations.

To change the 20 mm they would have to rewrite the OIC for what I've heard. It's not going to happen. The fact that there is no exemption it would be inclusive to all firearms, including shotguns. That's what I understand. I don't know about Krieghoff, Blaser, DT-11, Perazzi 18.7 bore without chokes but makes me worried. I shoot sporting clays competitively. It could affect a lot of shooters.

Are you a Clay sports Shooter or just stirring the pot ?

There is enough rhetoric going on they just decided to keep focused on the disks that are going to be flying shortly .

Why when there is nothing wrong with the 20mm. A clarification for those who have no clue how a shotgun bore is determined is all that is required. No more
You are worried over nothing enjoy your guns as you always have

I can't wait for the days when we can get back to important stuff like which is better 9MM or 45 Auto, and which choke for crossers at 25 yards ........

Not stirring the pot at all as I participate in IPSC shotgun, pistol and PCC along with trap and LR rifle. To say I don't have a lot to lose would be an understatement.

It is not us that need to be woke up.
Our group are not bottom feeders trying to add more pain and blood to more members by implying 12ga and 10ga shotguns are on the ban list when we know they are not
I am sorry some are losing some guns with this ban as I am ( and if I didnot reduce the herd over the past few years that number would have been 40 not 2 ) but will not support CSSA any more after 33 years for their BS
We are all very well educated in using shotguns here and know exactly to what specifications they are manufactured to and what has been internationally accepted for bore measurements for over 100 years and where in the barrel that measurement is recorded just ask any gunsmith as an example
None are over 20mm in 12ga and 10ga . It stops there
This great plan from CSSA you get membership up and open the Fudds eyes is backfiring on them huge and they will lose more members than they gain and divide the gun community even more. I have at least six friends that will never support them again and that is 80% of what I asked
Who in the F"K are they to tell these poor guns shops that have been holding on barely since the virus that not they cannot sell any 12ga and 10ga since they had a wet dream and they are prohibs now
Like one shop owner said to me for the first time in months he is hearing the bell on his door ring again and guys are coming in buying guns for turkey season and clay shooting and the CSSA can go pound sand and he will do everything in his power to see they pay for even starting this BS
If you want someone to pat your back and say you are right it is law now and the CIC has to be changed there is tons on places here where fools will agree with you but not on the trap/ skeet and sporting clays section
We are too busy smoking them and have to focus on the bird not BS
PULLLLLL :)
Take care
LOSTTTTTTT christ that was your fault :(

I believe 3macs1 just NAILED IT !!! Although I'm against any ban contrived for "public safety" reasons; that we all know won't affect criminals in any way, I think that CSSA saw a business opportunity to increase membership and donations by creative interpretation and disseminating misleading information to the masses (sounds a lot like Liberal tactics, right?).

Oh, BTW, I just bought a new 12 Gauge with chokes that I really don't need just so I could support our local range/gunshop. I feel my money is better spent there than with CSSA (although I, and my family are all members for insurance).

Yes no bans will I agree with also
Like I said we are all much smarter than this in our circle to even entertain the 12ga and 10ga prohib BS for more than two minutes . Yes many clubs CSSA it is part of the package but they have just killed my private one good bye and are now like the NFA to me gone for life. Oh well now I have one in canada and one state side
Enjoy that new gun and smoke them all :)
