Above is a copy of the 2009 Hunting regs. Note that the last line is for Whitetail Bow. Everywhere else in the regs, the number on the far right is the bag limit for daily (first) and then total possession in brackets.

So does this mean that you can shoot two of any ###, but you must eat one on the hill after the hunt? (this was a joke, maybe)

it used to explain it better...
bag limit for WT is 2 during that season, 1 may be anterless.
combined limit inclusive of Mulies is 2.

read the 1st paragraph on the page before the one you 'clipped'

oh, found it
page 17

In the table on the previous page and the regional schedules, NBL
means No Bag Limit. An entry such as "2(1)" used for ungulates means
the season bag limit is two animals of that species, one of which may be
antlerless. An entry such as "10(20)" for game birds means the daily bag
limit is 10 and the possession limit is 20.

Thanks

I have the downloaded version of the regs on my laptop, so that paragraph was not readily available.

To be obtusely clear, that means I can shoot two whitetails with a bow, either 2 bucks, or a doe and a buck - as long as I have a tag for each - right?

Thanks

almost

The paragraph for bag limits for Reg 8 read:

Deer: The combined limit for deer is 2.
Both deer may be antlerless, but only one
antlerless deer of each species may be taken.
The bag limit for mule deer is 1. Antlerless
mule deer are available only through Limited
Entry Hunting. The bag limit for white-tailed
deer is 2, with only one of each ### allowed.
Antlerless white-tailed deer are available only
through Limited Entry Hunting or the late
bow only season.

Long story short, for WT, 1 buck and 1 doe, assuming you already didn't shoot a Mulie.
