Silly hypothetical question that has probably been asked 100 times

never happen- 99% of us can't carry-as for if we could, i would go old school-10 inch barreled 9mm uzi in a mac scatter under the suit coat- and the 32 round mags- as for collateral damage, these things are not a bullet hose, as i chewed the "ear" of a b-27 target at 25 yards with one back in the day, using factory ammo and the proper mounting

Not to be picky, but there is nothing saying we "can not" physically carry firearms. The law simply states we are not "permitted" to carry firearms. If the law physically prevented us from carrying firearms, there would be no firearm related murders.

I'd roll my Glock 17....With 5 of my closest friends who also carry.

If you want to get semantic, he said nothing about not being able to physically carry firearms. It is obvious with all of our experience that he was saying we cannot legally carry firearms (the "legally" was implied) and was entirely correct. You made an unwarranted assumption in assuming that "can't" necessarily means physically.

But considering we here are all law abiding Gun Owners then we do not ever carry restricted fire arms unless in a safe and lawful manor. The non-law abiding people do carry and there fore here lies your firarm related murders. So these semantics of yours are kinda unnessasary.
You could though be carring a properly locked and contained handgun home from the range... see a Police officer down, shot and injured and who's life is imperil from some bad guys ( drug dealers-zombies-britney spears ) who are going to kill him/her.
If you did make the decision to engage the bad guys to save a life what gun would you carry.

Personally the Berreta 92 or M&P both in .40

And now that everyone knows what I meant, I feel I should re-iterate my comment. This thread screams with mall ninja-esqness. ( I know its not a word!)

If it is 50+ yards, I'd take M14 with ACOG. Goes through walls, cars
and body armor. With proper loads it goes through level IV plates.

Case in point. Have you ever though about where that #### goes when you miss?

Seriously people, the way some of you are talking about it almost sounds like you want it to happen. It wont.

This is why I like .40 S&W, as it has been shown to have less chances of leaving the core than say a 9mm or .45 :D
from what ive read

True odds are slim that zombies or a above mentioned scenario with a person indanger will need your skills with a hand gun.... but now Britney spears could escape her mental ward and come after you and the neighbor hood kids.:runaway:

A mal ninja is spanish for a bad ninja. A Mall ninja is a rent-a cop.
In any case I wouldn't use a handgun, I would take my STEN and the seven pocket bandoleer.;)

I guess I'd probably bring some drugs in a big 45 gallon barrel, and put it within sight of my treestand... Since its urban I guess the treestand would have to be places on a lightpole.

Now that we newbies were educated what the standard definition of mall ninja (or mal ninja) is, could we be now directed to the standard intenet definition of the zombie. I bet it is not a living dead anymore and does nothing to do with voodoo!

depends on where you are in that situation- if you're in between the bad guys and the officer, it's probably far smarter to get the both of you to cover and USE THE RADIO- if you're on the outside looking in, be sure that you're not going to get tagged by a friendly - remember- they see every gun without a uniform as a threat-
nothing i'd rather do than call the HAWCS in on a 'GUN RUN"- even the ar15s can be a formidible weapon deployed from the side of a chopper

I get in urban gun fights with drug dealers frequently...

I think the most effective handgun is whatever Steven Segal used in his last film. IN the past, I used whatever Charles Bronson was last carrying. Anything that Chuck Norris uses is good, as well.

You do know of course that Chuck Norris would simply eliminate all of the drug dealers with a single round house kick.

Speaking of Chuck Norris ..
I heard he had a who has more balls contest with Lance Armstrong....

Chuck Norris won by 3

Since we are all law abiding, the right answer would be to ask that the dealer please stop shooting until you phone 911 to arrange for police protection. I'm sure he would completely understand when you inform him you are not yet ready for his attack!!!

Or you could always become friends with Windy and use her as a shield

Sorry I could not resist
