Silly Question On My SKS?

Hey Guys!

I recently bought a refurbished '54 Tula as my first SKS. Admittedly I know little about them. I fired a friend's once and liked it. I finally got it to the range and found it firing consistantly high even at 50 yards.
My other rifle is a M-14 and setting the sights on it is a breeze. Is there any adjustments that can be made to fix the sights on this SKS to lower the sights? While shooting I had the sight bar all the way down.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also does anyone know where there might be a listing of gun shows in Ontario this year?

You can adjust the front sight vertically with a screwdriver.

(Be careful when moving the rear sight "all the way down" - the lowest position ("П") is actually same as "3", so keep in on "1" to get the real "lowest" one)

Word of advice, let your friend shoot your SKS before you make any adjustments, to make sure it is sights and not the shooter.
