i know there is no limit to how many bullets a rimfire can hold but what about hunting.i would be using a bolt action 9 shot or a ruger 10/22 with a hi cap clip is there a limit to that hunting in ontario. i diden,t remember them covering this in my hunting course just about centerfires and what i remember a bolt action can hold 10 rounds and semi can hold 5. correct me if im wrong. thanks

i dont think there is any capacity on bolt actions.

But, yeah I dont think there is any capacity issues either on rimfires.

It is to my understanding that there is no limit on the amount of ammo in a rimfire rifle while hunting, therefore it would be legal to hunt with a 50 round clip on your 10/22.

I know of a cop friend that uses his with a 50 round clip while rabbit hunting.

as far as i knowq theres now limit on the amount of rounds in your MAG
in ontario for rimfire and bolt actions semi auto centerfire rifles are limited to 5 and shotguns are 3 *2+1 hot*

Unless hehehe you have an M1 with the enbloc clip 8 rounds of legal 30-06.:D

In Bc there's no limit on rimfiremag size. I just bought a 25rd clip for plinker from reliable gun. I'm pretty sure it's only centerfire that has the 5rd limit and then with shotguns its 2+1 for hunting. I'm not sure what the rule is for target shooting with shotguns. Anybody else know?

ok so no rimfire mag limits in ontario can someone tell me if the same applies to BC?? i am assuming but would rather not

no limit,

but really not sure why you would need a high cap mag for hunting??
You'll probably find they're a pain to carry in thick brush where the rabbits are
If you haven't connected after lets say a 10 round clip... rabbit deserves to live ;)
