A buddy at my workplace has some silver which he would like a pistol bullet made with. I suggested something like a 44-40 or 45 Colt, So is there anyone who can do us a favour and cast a nice bullet for one of the said cal.'s?:)
Thanks in advance:)

Go see a jewelry maker..Silver melts at a much higher temperature than lead
(961.93 °C (1235.08 °K, 1763.474 °F) vs Lead at 327.5 °C (600.65 °K, 621.5 °F).

Highly doubt any one has what it takes unless they're into ceramics as a hobby also.

Umm those bullets arnt 100% silver, its only one of the 7 virgin alloys lol? I probably could attempt to cast some silver bullets, heat up my dipper in the coal forge, but im not sure if my lee aluminum moulds would take it? The dipper is also cast iron, so it may just want to bond with that, though I have melted small quanities of brass with little problem. How much is silver worth now, and what kind of purity does the guy have. I would hate to screw up $50 worth of silver.
