Silver vs Plum

I have a 1941 Finn Capture SVT with silver bolt and carrier. It actually very slightly yellowish due to the age...

That's nice. Did Finns mix parts in this one? Or they are all matching numbers?

The numbers are mixed, as usual, but all bearing Tula star.

what about the black or blued bolt ones

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing black, plum and other colours of SVT bolts are just slight variations of blueing process.

for the people that have Finn captures. I suggest you look in the cocking handle hole to see, if there is any remnant of the plum finish. as mine do and they were never refinished . I would think that what ever the Russians used to clean them with was corrosive and removed the original finish .
