These likely came from the same place as my nice old 1918 Model 1894 32WS rifle. 170gr Silvertip 8mm (32) cal - .322 DIA (written on the box).

The old fellow that owned the rifle was a fussy old target shooter and reloader. I am surrounded in my shop office by articles like these bullets. I wonder if these bullets would be good for werewolf defence? :p

Well, I'll just struggle along with them for now. :d I would take a wild guess and say that more than a few whitetail fell to those old bullets.

Good find. I've always liked the look of Silvertips. They look so nice I'm still hoarding my .30 cal stash, both bullets and factory loads 🙂

I have a lot of factory loads in 300 and 375 H&H. I even have bullets in 30 cal and 375 cal. I too don’t want to shoot them. I did shoot a few the other day in my 300 H&H and they shot nicely.

I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews though. Some say they didn’t hold up too well going fast. Calibres and weight made a difference too from what I’ve read. A 180 30 cal was great in a 308 but too soft for a magnum, etc.
