It’s Saturday of the Easter weekend and I am warming up at the local McDonald’s shop in Elmvale with my green tea. I want to let all you GTA rimfire newbies and experts to jump on board these rimfire steel shoots whenever time permits. They are the most fun you can have with your teen shooters or newbie shooters. Of course we can’t forget accomplished shooters, you will be challenged.

I have just returned from the kind property owners’ field and I’m thankful for their kind support and efforts to allow this fun on their property. These are the kind of Precision Rifle Steel Rimfire Matches we need. They are always fun and humbling. Ringing steel is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

This afternoon we were inspecting, reviewing, scouting, and shooting this makeshift field shoot. I’m super pleased and happy to have rung steel on this field. Even without the stop watch and accompanying match pressure, I had a great deal of fun! Thanks Scuba52

For you GTA PR shooters, here is your chance to avoid that long drive to CRPS shoot in Garrisson Petawawa and shoot locally. Honestly folks, I’ve had a few concerns about the long drive to Pembroke area from Toronto area. Yeah it can be a bit costly but look for the opportunity to get away from the city to be swatting mosquitoes or black flies in June!! Hahahahaha

We are just north on the 400 and not far from Barrie for you city folks who cannot leave home without a cell tower nearby. Hahahaha

And here it comes, I’m Tactical Teacher and I approve of this message.

Thanks for coming out today Barney, i think we turned the property owner into a rimfire steel banger. He was suprised at how much fun it is. He will be competing.
I cant believe the prizes that are coming in from business members, you will be suprised at the top prize (Jerry is awesome), ellwood epps and tenda are all coming through, as well as gong joe with some targets. Cant wait for next weekend. Course of fire is simple yet challenging in spots, tried to make it fun for both new and experienced shooters.
If you know someone who is looking to try an event like this i think they will be happy to give it a go.
 
Sounds like things are in line.It would be nice if Mother Nature would cooperate as well,but if not,oh well. I've asked a bunch of people to come out. They are either going fishing for trout opener or turkey hunting.The father in law is going to come for sure.He said he is just going to watch but I think i can talk him into shooting.I've had him out before ringing steel at 300, he was pretty amazed at what is possible with the .22.

Weather looks clear and cool, perfect for a day of ringing steel, did some testing with barney and i remembered how fun it is hitting small targets and ringing the steel
