Simmons .22 Mag Scope

I've been looking for a place that sells the Simmons .22 Mag scope here in Canada.

Anyone had success finding such a place?

There is a little place here in High River AB that has 2 of them on the shelf. The place is called Flys Etc Sporting Goods. The phone number is 403-601-6120 and the price is $69 + gst. I just bought a Simmons 4x32 for $49. He is a really good guy to deal with, hope it helps.

personally i would go with a good Bushnell over a Simmons , Bushnell seems to have better construction and windage knobs jut my 2 cents

I have a Simmons .22 mag scope on my Ruger 10/22, it has been great. I have good optics on my other firearms like Leupold VX II, but my Ruger isn't exactly a precision kit, and the scope is great for the purpose.

Ellwood Epps in Orillia Ont. has them or can get them. They had them in fixed 4x back in late December, but not in the 3x-9x variable (or any other rimfire scope in a variable). I ended up with a Tasco Mag from Wally World.

I just bought the 4x32 simmon's for my 10/22 and compaired it to a bushnell 3x9x32 and the simmons was brighter clearer and cheaper.

I currently have a Simmons .22 mag on my Rem 597 and it is suspect. It does not seem to hold zero [P.O.I. shift] and when I have time to put a proven scope and eliminate the rifle as the culprit I will post my findings in this thread.

I have a Simmons Mag 44 that I may be shooting later. No I don't mean shooting as in mounted on a rifle. I mean it'll be at the other end of the range. What a piece of crap. It looks like you're viewing your target under water. The crosshair also seems to have broken. During one particularly frustrating range trip I couldn't figure out why the accuracy was so horrible. Then I saw the crosshairs vibrate. I Sh@t you not. They were actually vibrating for about a second.

It's a toss up between which scope is crappier. The Simmons or the BSA contender that came with a very nice rifle. The Simmons does look nicer though. I tried to buy it without the garbage scope but, had to take the package (fortunately the rifle was worth the price on it's own). Again optics sucked, and the parallax adjustment didn't work. No matter how it was set up, you could still see tons of parallax shift.

Do yourself a favour. By a better scope. By it right and buy it once.
