Has anyone tried one of these? I want on on my .22 and like the idea of the side focus AO to keep the bell small so it is nice and low. Think the MFR # is 517716. Sounds like it could be decent since Meade took over... Also anyone know a place that would have em in stock?

I would not buy a simmons if they where the last scope made on earth... have had 3 fail on me, on of all guns a mini-14.

you want side adjust go for one of the luepold clones with a 30mm tube.

no more simmons for me

I bought a Simmons Pro Hunter 6-18 power and put it on a .223 and fired it a few times then noticed the front adjustible objective ring falling off in time to catch it before it hit the ground. 1st and last Simmons I will ever buy.

Were those three the new ones made by meade or older models. I read an article in a mag where one was mounted on a lightwieght .338, used with full house 250gr loads and still held zero and tracked as it should.
Or does it matter - once burned twice #### you I'll never your brand again;)
For me It's Tasco, they could be made by S&B and I'd still say, Yeah, you shoulda changed the name too!

Edit. Since they share the same $199.99 price tag as the Leupold VX1,Elite 3200 and Nikon buckmaster, It damn well better be at least as good!
