Mediocre scope.
My Win M70 came with one. The glass was sub par. It will do the job, but not very well. Mine actually broke. However I suspect it was dropped at the gunsmiths when I was getting some work done on the rifle. After I got the rifle back, the scope wouldn't track. I also saw the reticle jiggle.

Here's what I would recommend:

1) Lowest cost scope I would use is a Burris. Good but not top of the line
2) Leupold for rimfire, EFR VXIII is very tough to beat. It's a great scope and it allows you to focus down to 10 yards.
3) Zeiss Conquest. Slightly more than the Leupold. I find it's just slightly better than the Leupold VXIII. Keep in mind that is subjective. A Leupold VXIII is also a very nice scope.
4) Nightforce, I plan on using one for longer ranges. This is a very fine scope. Better than the Leupold or Zeiss. However the price also reflects this.
5) Swaroski. A fantastic hunting scope. But... $$$
6) S&B, Kahles (lower priced Swaroski (sp?)), etc. All are fairly expensive $$$

On a side note. I tried the 4200 Bushnell the other day. Due to all of the hype I've read such as: It's as good as a Leupold VXIII etc. Well it's decent, but not as good. I actually preferred the glass on my Burris. It's not a Leupold VXIII killer by any stretch of the imagination. Competition for the VXII maybe but not the VXIII. The price isn't even really that cheap. In the long run it's better to buy the best you can and buy it once.

There's a good article on one of the Benchrest forms. 6mm BR I think.
