My friend who has Crohn’s tried everything too. He found that marijuana helped his symptoms. He takes CBD oil. It might be an option. He looked like he came out of Auschwitz and this guy was a world class athlete. Now he’s doing much better.

Focus on yourself! Work can wait (I am guessing this is easier said than done - considering you are posting from your hospital bed!). Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Simon as a fellow Crohns sufferer my advice explore the surgery option / I held off on the surgery and eventually had a couple of meters of intestines removed / changed my quality of life & I have been drug free for almost 9 years now / slow and steady is the best advice ...

Hi Simon,

I can't imagine what you're going through. Hopefully, you can find a treatment that helps and doesn't break the bank. Try not to worry about the business.

Best wishes,
GMC

I've a family member who went through the same, pretty much from high school.

One doc pretty much accused her of being anorexic at one point - she wasn't eating because it hurt so much, and had faded to nothing.

The ostomy became the only option. She's been better for years.

Tough choice, and I know I'd go through every option myself before making it.

Take care

Thank You for asking
I have chrones and thr biologic drug in on is not working any more.
I had a crash in October that was so bad I thought I was going to have major surgery. BUT managed to avoid it.
Steroid for the last 16 week.
But now I'm off them I declined very quickly.
Juat had both mri and cat scan and no perf. So thats good.
The pain from the flare-up is 11/10.
I've been shot, stabbed blown off a building and the pain is much worse thrn thst.
The issue is I'm running out of options. I can't stay on thr steroids as it will kill me in other ways.
Moat of the drugs arw not covered by health care and cost me $1000a Week.
The trillium grant I have for the drugs only covery a bit part of it. As I'm self employed. I have no other coverage.
So waiting on the GI surgeon to talk options.
Only 1 drug left too try.
And you guessed it, its not covered.
Life's a ##### sometimes.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
My wife has Crohn's disease. We almost lost her 6 yrs ago. However, since she had emergency surgery, where they removed about a foot of her intestine (ileum), she has been doing really well.
I hope you recover very soon.
I'll put in an order to help support your biz.
