I apologize in advance for what may seem like an obvious question..but....I've been looking for a couple of days on various threads and store sites, but have had difficulty determining the answer

Could someone tell me which 5.56 black/green style rifles are NR in Canada and below 1500$
I can buy a DPMS Panther for under $1k, but its R rated which bothers me as it seems so limiting

Eg, Canada ammo sells a Dominion Arms556 for $600 with but doesn't say if it R or NR, (20in barrel, but ??)

Anyway a simple list of suitable NR black/green and approx Cdn prices would be highly appreciated

Any ar-15 pattern rifle is restricted. The type 97 is NR, about $1000. Vz-58 in .223 should be found used under $1000. Kel tec su-16 is in your ballpark. Bushmaster....something or other is about $1200 I believe.

Kel Tech Su16-incredibly light, like bag pipes, it is either hate or love with this rail ready for an optic
Type 97, strange ergonomics, again people here either hate it or love it, best choice if you like iron sights
CSA58 in 5.56, proprietary magazines makes it pricier, commie bloc side mount for optics limits options
Mini14, proprietary magazines makes it pricier

Prices vary but these are all roughly at $800-1,000.
I have the first three and they are all dependable and fairly accurate.
Or at least more accurate than most of the people that own them.

The 20" DA556 from CanadaAmmo is a great deal but it is restricted and range only.

The norinco type 97 is a bullpup style which I find a bit offputting.
the CX4 is 9mm...I dont think it comes in 5.56
There are some nice black 5.56 out there but at $3K and up, it's out of my ballpark

I see a couple of dealers with vx-58 but in 7.62.. but I already have that in the SKS
any dealers out there have some answers?

I would say go get your rpal and buy restricted. The 'funnest' guns are restricted because they are the 'funnest'. Hence why liberal gun grabbers want to not let you have fun with them. Spend a lifetime figuring that one out...

da556 is a crap gun

my advice: dont buy crap guns

not crap guns in nr:
tavor
acr
xcr
mh/mv soon
mr1
sl8
vz58
hk243 soon

yes expensive, usually stuff that isnt crap is expensive

why rare? are they not being made anymore?
why fragile?
any other 5.56 similar to 180b suggestions?

I have RPAL, just don't want to be limited in use.
Any other suggestions

answers:
1 rare because discontinued
2 fragile because the receiver tends to break after 150 rounds or so

180b is a crap gun
see my previous post about crap guns

do like all canadians get a tavor, an acr or a vz58
