Simple Question About SVT-40

What kind of rifle is the SVT-40 considered to be? Battle?

If You using SVT 40 in a battle, its battle rifle. If you using it in a hunt, its hunting rifle. If you use it on a range, its range rifle. Simple as that.

Whatever you'd call a Garand, Lee Enfield, Mosin, 03A3, k98k, etc you can also call the SVT. When originally created it was intended to replace the Mosin 91/30 throughout the Soviet forces.

I'm just going to consider it a battle rifle. Different applications don't change what it was designed for.

Mind you, my knees aren't aging well, so with all this running around that youngsters do with their AR's, my battles need to take place at 400meters or further. That's an SVT rifle kind of battle.
