Simpson drilling

Hi I just bought a Simpson drilling, it’s a 16 gauge side-by-side over a 9.3 x 72r rifle barrel

I have attached a few photos could anyone tell me what these markings mean and possibly the date of manufacture. Much appreciated

Just a rough guess, but I'm thinking made in July 1943, proofed in the Suhl area. Looks cool. I'd love to see more pictures of it.

Just so you know, if you look closely you will see your gun is a Simson, not a Simpson. Looks to be like a fairly nice drilling.
