Now that the bulk of the estate sale is sold, I am starting with the higher end stuff. I am having a real problem putting a value or even dating this drilling shotgun. Can any of you help?

Go onto doublegunshop site and post this under the German shotgun/drilling subforum. There are a few guys on there who know German guns inside and out. They will give you answers.

Below is the German subforum link.

If you want to sit on it $3000 if you want to sale it well under $2000. Keep in mind new one is between $4000-$7000. So people buying this type of firearms will pay extra for what they want. This one is made in former East Germany they made quite a few of them. In former eastern block as I remember in the 80s price was under $300 US Merkel was closer to $400. Russian side by side which was around $30-40 US depending on the model. Fiat Uno was $1700, Fiat Tipo $2100, VW Golf $2800. Polish FSO Polonez about $1000. Bruno rifle was around $80. They were still very pricy factory worker was making about $30 US, someone on managerial position would make about $80-$120. This is based on Polish wages and prices in to be specific 1986
