Simunition - pics

Is it a rubber bullet or is there paint in there ?

Looks more functionnal than the current simunition we use

Box says polymer projectile that disintegrates into a powder on contact with a surface. Probably closer to but much safer than frangible ammo? I don't think you'd want to get hit with that like some other simunition. Probably good for kill-house/CQB training?
 
Just read it. Yeah looks like frangible ammo. I read "simunition" and I thought about the Simunition FX we use for force on force
 
Yes, it is supposed to disintegrate upon striking the target. I used a different "simunition". Sort of a little paintball capsule. Hurt like heck if you caught one. When I trained in Devils Lake, ND, I managed to hit an instructor on his bare hand. He was not pleased. :p
 
Yeah that's frang. I have a box of the blue paint capsule type for use with force on force training.
There are .223 versions but IIRC, for the paint capsule/cartridge type; you must use a different bolt/upper or slide depending on the firearm.
Neat find nevertheless.
