Just about one grand. I probably will shoot more in Saskatchewan than anywhere else. Matches are held in PA & the Battlefords, and I live in Cold Lake, just a short hop to the 'eastern' province.
Breifly met a few enthusiasts (10 meter AP) shooters in Moose Jaw (+Assiniboia team) this past winter. I was watching a friend's son compete when I was on course. That got me to thinking about 50 meter free pistol. IIRC, Sillymike here also competes in this discipline.
Cheers..... My BAD.....I also posted this in the rimfire section! Sorry mods!!!
I drink WAY too much coffee to make owning such an accurate gun worthwhile, but I'm still curious, what kind of groups does one get with such a gun, to do well in competitions?
It's kind of beautiful in it's own way, do you customize the grips on a gun like that?
A test target comes with every Hammerli. Two inches in diameter.
IIRC, this is ten shots @50 meters. Most are under a one inch group easily.
I'm just guessing here, but I would assume this ten shot group, is fired from some sort of machine rest.
The grips come that way from the factory, sized small, medium, large, LH or RH of course.
Larry's Guns in Maine, is the only certified Hammerli dealer in the USA, and he sells custom grips as well.
Many of his accessories actually can make it into Canada with little greif.
