Single shot rifles - part 2!

1968/69 S26M....can be verified by the serial number...and a few other little things ;)

Early production Ruger #1 rifles were custom built to many uncatalogued configurations. A customer could ask for, and many times get, options that were not on any production rifle. For Example, I had a 3 digit Serial numbered #1AB (22" clean barrel, semi-beavertail fore-end) that was chambered from the factory in 222 Remington. Research revealed that it was a custom request from a purchaser, and that Ruger did the work. It had some extra "value" due to the oddball chambering. (The #1AB was available in only 223 Rem, 7x57, 270 Win & 30-06) The #1 is a fine rifle that will be timeless, I suspect. Regards, Eagleye.
