Hey all. I prefer to use Redding dies in my single stage press. In my search for a set of dies to reload 10mm / 40 S&W i found a set of Redding pro series dies. They state that they are for progressive presses. Is there any reason why the pro series dies could not be used in a single stage press? I was loking for part number 88253, but the pro series is 89253. Thanks for any advice or knowledge it is always appreciated.

After doing some additional reading the pro series do not use an expander. This does not make sense to me as i thought the expander was necessary for the seating process to prevent the shaving off of copper. Hmmmmm.

Many powder-drop dies flare the case-mouth when the case activates the powder dispenser.

U can always buy a expander from them that will thread on the sizing die
