Not only is it Chinese, but it has the seldom seen "blade" bayonet and matte finished bolt. Might even have been made by the Chinese, under Russian supervision, on Russian equipment.
It is a #'s matching dust cover, bolt carrier, bolt. I have not taken it apart to see if the gas tube is marked. Nothing on the stock at all for marks though and the rear sling is on the bottom. Nothing on the butt plate but the cleaning stuff is in the butt stock. Thanks for all the info.
That looks like a very early model Chinese military SKS. Would have been made on the imported Russian tooling to China when they first set them up and guided them for initial production.
I don't know if it is confirmed but I've read that the soviets even supplied them with small surplus parts etc to use up in the first runs ie you would have a Chinese made SKS made on old imported Russian machinery with even some Russian made surplus components installed.
Very cool find. Congrats!
But it also looks like a refurb at some point.
Shoot it man!!!
