SIR backorders....

sometime before Christmas I ordered a marlin 795 from SIR-and to be fair-was told they were on backorder-due sometime in February.I'm wondering if anybody else ordered one[they were an excellent price-$129]and if so-have they recieved it yet?
 
I heard back from SIR today-they will be delayed up to another 60 days....looks like a lot of people must have ordered them at that price-$129,which is the best I've seen.Anybody else here order one from them?
 
They're pretty quick and good on their backorders. I had ordered a rifle that was supposedly backorder for 2 months as well. After I received their back order notice my new rifle arrived in 2 weeks. It's worth waiting expecially for the good deals.
 
I know-if they got more orders than they expected and MARLIN wasn't able to deliver-thats not SIR's problem.$129 was the best price I've seen them in Canada.The only complaint I've heard is the ''hollow'' sounding stock-and I plan on filling it with expandable hard foam,just got to be carefull not to put too much in or it could swell the stock.The intended use is a utilty gun-nothing fancy.It should be a good companion piece to my 20 guage H&R ''Tamer''
