How are the Mosin Nagant M44's that SIR has? Are they any good or are they more beat up than peices you will find at other places? 149.99 seems like a real good price, does anyone think that they have any models with real nice laminated stocks or just the plain solid colored ones like they show in their catalogs.
Also is there anything to look out for when purchasing one. For example: Would I get one that has been shot so much that there could be problems with the bore or the stocks are dry and cracking behind the receiver. Causeing needed gunsmithing before shooting as not to cause even more damage.

P.S. I was talking to SIR and they said that they do not have any 7.62X54R ammo in right now and are not sure when they are gonna get more. I see that Canada Ammo and Marstar are also both out of stock on it now. I wanted to get a milsurp to add to my collection and also with easy avail of ammo it could give me a larger bore plinker than my .22's. Canada Ammo does have some 7.63x39 for now. Maybe that would be my better choice, but for now I would rather have a Mosin than an SKS. Because the CZ858 is out ouf my price range the SKS would have to suffice for awhile and who know I might really like it!
