I'm most likely going to get a Swiss Arms Black special this week. I'm wondering

1st why are so many for sale used on EE is there a problem with the rifle.

2nd I'm not familiar with a 1 in 10 twist rate. whats that best for 40-55gr bullets???

3rdHow accurate is this gun suposed to be?

4th Scoped or irons???

Thanks

It is odd... but lots of guns get sold in waves. One sale thread seems to trigger others.

But, I have also noticed lots of SAN rifles going on the EE each year during tax season. They are easy to sell, for a good price, and are relatively easy to re-aquire.

I have never, ever, ever, had a misfire or malfunction with a Swiss Arms rifle.

1 in 10. Some people prefer 1 in 7 to stabilize some of the very heavy bullets. But, the 1 in 10 is optimal for the stuff we commonly get, up to about 69grains. I own both versions. I swear I can't see a difference. Keep in mind, the SG 550-1 sniper is barreled with a 1 in 10 twist barrel.

Very accurate. Have a look at the 300m test targets that come with these guns.

The iron site model, with a B&T top rail, and a cheek riser, will be your most versatile set up. The flat top models are cool. But, the iron sights in the flat top models are only good for 100 meters. I have noticed that the rails on the flat-top models are a tad narrow. Some scopes with quick release mounts don't grip too firmly on the integrated rail, but will grip tight on the B&T rails.

They are on the EE because there are a lot of them in circulation.

They are expensive.

They hold their value very well so people don't lose much or anything if they are forced to sell.

There are a lot of Swiss arms in circulation - just like AR. So at any one time there are always few of them on EE.

So for those of us who don't have Swiss Arms or test target to look at, what are the average groups at 100 yards with the non-res version and good ammo, such as the one you have for sale on the EE. :D

I've been looking at these lately but can't justify $3000+ just for the cool factor.

Is it possible to mount a regular scope on them, say a Leupold 3.5-10 or similar?

They are total crap.

But in the interest of goodwill, I will take this POS off your hands for a sound $500 :pirate:

You are free to consider that as a standing offer.

That was for everyone else in this thread. Many of whom I know well and have bought and/or sold Swiss Arms guns from/too. Some twice. Hell. My wife thinks there is a singularity between UncleWalther's safe and mine.

Its not your thread fella. I don't see the OP complaining, and I don't particularly give a rats ass about your post. :jerkit:

For a 'kilr' you are awfully sensitive to a gentle ribbing that has SFA to do with you.

My apologies, I thought it was directed at my post.

The OP did ask in his first post about accuracy. He has not gotten an answer other than "very accurate", which is not an answer in my books.

7 in the morning here pre-coffee.

No worries. Cheers.

Actually some conversations do take place ''behind the scenes'' in the form of PMs So the accuracy question was properly answered and the person who took the time properly thanked.

sprint, I guess we'll have to take time and think about attemps at humor next time. It seems some have very strong feelings about their toys...
