Plain and simple are they worth it? I'm in Ontario have a hard time finding their line especially incinerator I get cold easily sitting in the stand for hours I heard good things about them just want get an opinion before I shell out 500-600 $
I found a place in BC that sell them but sizing is an issue I fall right in between medium and large and some stuff feels good in medium some in large I would prefer try it on before purchase so I could avoid returns and shipping costs

I have the incinerator line and it is very warm but not -30 warm without proper layering. It's a tough call about whether it's worth it but it is very quiet and comfortable to wear.

Comfort and the quality of build is awesome on the sitka stuff IMO. If you are ordering online just follow their sizing charts. I think when it comes down do it and your hunting still in the the cold for long enough, you're going to get cold no matter what it seems.

For stand hunting I would not spend the kind of money Sitka goes for. The gear seems to be designed with mobility and layering in mind. Meaning, there's not a lot of insulation, which is what you will need if you want to sit still for hours, and if you're going to layer anyway, there are better shells out there for less money. I have a bunch of their gear, rain stuff as well as non rain stuff, and I love it, but I am also putting a lot of miles on my boots. Also, I would not buy without trying the actual piece on first. Their sizing is all over the map. So if you are buying online, make sure they have a return policy.

For stand hunting, I would be looking to get merino wool base layer in like a 210+. I would then go full heavy wool for a mid-layer and cap it off with down pants and down jacket. Neck gaiter and good stocking hat. Add heat packs to inside pockets as needed. Unless you are moving it is almost impossible for your body to generate enough heat.
